How to Calculate Your Exact Age
Calculating exact age is more than subtracting birth year from the current year. An accurate age calculation accounts for whether your birthday has occurred yet this year, leap years, and the varying lengths of months.
The method our calculator uses:
- Years: current year minus birth year, minus one if your birthday hasn't happened yet this year
- Months: remaining full months after full years are subtracted
- Days: remaining days after full months are subtracted, using actual calendar month lengths
